Get to know the photographer

Hi there! My names Katelann, or Kate, Mom, My Wife, Mrs.Potatohead, that photographer - depending on who you ask. I'm glad you're here :)

For starters, I'm 29, a mom of 2, a wife, and my two loves besides my family are Jesus and photography.

It's more than just taking pictures for me. It's freezing time in a photo to reflect on when you're feeling nostalgic or having a rough day.. helping someone feel better about themselves through my lens.. seeing themselves how others see them. What a gift it is to be able to provide that for people.

I love capturing beauty and memories.. making the mundane seem extraordinary. I love documenting families because life is ever changing and kids are always growing..

For as long as I can remember I've loved taking pictures, and looking at them. There's just something about pulling out a photo album and reminiscing. It almost takes you straight back to that time.. and if you weren't actually a part of it, a good picture can make you feel like you were.

That is my goal every time I pick up my camera. I hope you can tell through my work.
